Auteur Compositeur (Songwriter) is the seventh studio Album by Rob Carey, recorded in his studio. It is a collection of twelve self penned songs written in different genres, mixed and mastered by three professional producers.

This was the latest album, released in January 2020. When writing the songs I made a conscious decision to keep the listener guessing as to what was coming next. Each song is different in style of music, tempo and arrangement to the one before. I also explored using different instruments, moving from my comfort zone and some songs have a very eastern flavour / influence. This album was recorded using three different studios, one being my home studio and again I think this adds to the variety of sound.

Here in the UK we seem to have more than our fair share of Grey days. To some, this can lead to a sense of inertia or depression. The album 'Grey Suburbia' is a response to this however is in no way drab or downbeat. Rather, it has a mixture of uplifting and varied songs. Every cloud has a silver lining.
