Rob Carey is an award nominated songwriter with a back catalogue that includes hundreds of original songs written in all genres of music spanning decades of being in the music industry. Dynamic music videos complement many of the songs and this has generated thousands of engagements on social media. These songs have been performed live in countries around the world as well as in the UK.

In 2017 Rob set up his own music production company, Art of the Sound Temple at the same time creating his own recording studio. Art of the Sound Temple Production creates a space for collaborations and Rob has worked with many singers and musicians, creating original and authentic music that has received multiple radio airplays world wide.

Rob’s first album ‘Hope Street’ was released in 2009, which demonstrated an early sign of his song writing prowess and musical ability. There are thirteen self penned songs on the album of varying styles and genres of music. This was followed by his second album in 2010 ‘For all That’s Gone Before’ which was a more reflective piece of work and it received much acclaim from local and national radio stations. ‘Is Now a Good Time’ was Rob’s third album, released in 2011 and this has a more upbeat, uplifting flavour and features rap singer ‘Vicky’ on the hit song ‘Out there’. Two EP’s followed, in 2012 ‘The knowing’ was released where the video for the title song was filmed in Fethiye, Turkey and in 2015 ‘The Self Portrait’ EP was released. Rob also released his fourth album in 2015 ‘to manteio’ following a trip to Greece where his personal experiences there influenced his song writing for the album. One of the songs from the album ‘Some People’ has been performed live by singer Elizabeth Catavitello.
Rob’s fifth album ‘Grey Suburbia’ was released in 2017 and features the hit songs ‘Glastofunk’ and the rave, dance number ‘Grey Sub’ both of which became the main feature for BBC Introducing Radio. Also two songs from the album ‘How Sweet the Name’ and ‘For our Kaleidoscope’ feature gospel singer Angela Matwasa. ‘How Sweet the Name’ was played on UK gospel radio station.

Rob’s latest album was released in 2020 and takes the same name as his production company ‘Art of the Sound Temple’. The opening song ‘Temple Elephant’ has an Eastern, meditative vibe edited with a dreamlike visual sequence considering some parts of India’s belief and tradition. The style of music however moves on quickly with a conscious attempt to keep the listener guessing as to what is coming next. Art of the Sound Temple is an eclectic mix of musical styles, complemented on two songs ‘Somewhere’ and ‘Smile Assassin’ by dynamic vocalist Elizabeth Catavitello.

Art of the Sound Temple is a triumph and an example of Rob’s high quality song writing, production, videography and collaborations. Evidence of this can be clearly seen from Rob’s latest single release, ‘My Limerence’ which has been featured on radio stations and Spotify playlists globally from Costa Rica, Japan, India, USA and Australia.

(Robs single ‘I know It Shows’ released in 2021 was nominated for best rock song by the 8th annual ‘One World Music Awards).
